Rajganj, 15th June: The state government’s ‘Jan Kalyan Shivir’ campaign began across West Bengal from Monday, with the camp in Rajganj witnessing a massive turnout.
A camp was organized at the Fire Brigade Ground adjacent to the Rajganj BDO office for residents of the Sukhani and Mantadari Gram Panchayat areas under the Rajganj Assembly constituency. Since early morning, large numbers of people gathered at the venue to access various government services.
The camp featured 20 service counters offering 54 different government services. Among them, the Ayushman Bharat scheme counter attracted the highest number of beneficiaries, with residents showing keen interest in availing themselves of benefits under various welfare schemes.
The ‘Jan Kalyan Shivir’ initiative aims to bring government services directly to citizens, making welfare schemes more accessible at the grassroots level.
According to the schedule, a camp will be held on June 16 for residents of the Kukurjan, Sannyasikata and Panikauri Gram Panchayats. Another camp is scheduled for June 17 for residents of the Binnaguri, Majhiali and Shikarpur Gram Panchayats.
Rajganj MLA Dinesh Sarkar visited the camp during the day, inspected the service counters, reviewed the arrangements, and interacted with residents to understand their concerns and ensure smooth delivery of services.
