Kharibari, 03rd July: The Kharibari Development Block observed International Plastic Bag Free Day on Wednesday with the aim of promoting a plastic-free environment. A public awareness rally was organised from the BDO office to encourage citizens and shopkeepers to reduce plastic usage.
The rally witnessed participation from Kharibari Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Ratna Roy Sinha, BDO Deepti Sahu, and Kharibari Gram Panchayat Pradhan Parimal Sinha. As part of the initiative, cloth bags were distributed among local shopkeepers in the Kharibari market, along with awareness messages regarding plastic pollution.
