Cooch Behar, 27th January: A huge quantity of illegal cough syrup has been recovered from a freight line truck before smuggling. Three people have been arrested in the said incident.

Based on a tip-off, the police launched an operation in the adjacent area of Mathabhanga Cooch Behar State Road, Nishiganj and intercepted a truck that was smuggling cough syrup in cartons of talcum powder. 15 thousand Phensidyl cough syrup was recovered from the truck. ‘
Along with this, three people identified as Suresh Singh and Suresh Singh and Mohammad Aman were arrested. Suresh Singh and Suresh Singh are residents of Uttarakhand and Mohammad Aman is a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
