Alipurduar, 11th September: The officers of Falakata Police Station have seized a significant quantity of foreign liquor ahead of Durga Puja. Additionally, three people have also been detained in connection to the case.
Acting on a tip-off, on Wednesday, the police raided a warehouse located in Jaichandpur Pakritala area under Guabarnagar Gram Panchayat of Falakata block and recovered a huge amount of liquor. The liquor varied from different brands worth an estimated market price of around ₹10 lakh. Law enforcement has stated that similar raids will be conducted in the coming days.
