Reportedly, on Sunday night, a local resident in the area Jayanta Dey Sarkar spotted the pangolin roaming outside his residence in the Uttarpara area adjacent to Kunjnagar Bazar in Falakata block. The matter was informed to the forest department officials of Kunjnagar and the pangolin was subsequently rescued.
In this regard, Kunjnagar Beat Officer Sanad Sur stated that the matter will be informed to the Ranger and the animal will be released as per the instructions.
