Fulbari, 29th August: Incessant overnight rain led to the collapse of a factory boundary wall in Chaturagach area under Fulbari II Gram Panchayat on Friday morning. Fortunately, no major casualties were reported, though panic spread in the locality.
According to sources, the soil beneath the boundary wall had softened due to the heavy rainfall, causing it to collapse. The wall fell directly onto an e-rickshaw, leaving it damaged, while a cattle nearby sustained serious injuries.
Local residents rushed to the spot and removed the debris to rescover the damaged e-rickshaw. On receiving information, police from New Jalpaiguri police station reached the site to take stock of the situation.
