Siliguri, 28th March: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) has called for the Uttar Kanya Abhiyan in Siliguri today. In response, the Siliguri Metropolitan Police has enforced strict security measures to prevent any untoward incidents during the campaign.
A heavy police presence has been deployed from Jalpai More to Tinbatti More to stop the rally, effectively turning the area into a security zone. Barricades have been set up to prevent DYFI workers from reaching Uttar Kanya during the demonstration.
