Darjeeling, 24th July: It is like the good news keep coming fornthe Darjeeling Zoo, as the zoo’s Goral Rukhsana and father Suraj gave birth to a healthy female fawn.
As per the zoo authorities, both mother and fawn are doing fine. The birth took place at Dowhill conservation breeding centre under Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park in Darjeeling. This takes the total number of Goral under PNHZP to 26.

A few days earlier, Darjeeling Zoo announced the birth of one young red panda cub of mother Yeshi and father Pabu. The birth took place at Topkeydara conservation breeding centre under Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, making it the fifth birth of the red panda in this season.
