Darjeeling, 17th November: Darjeeling Municipality has been currently working to rid the town, which is considered a famous tourist spot, of visual pollution and make it clean and beautiful. Works to remove the old and unserviceable wires of the city are being carried on. The old wires no longer in use have been a mar and menace to the beautiful view of the hills.

During the removal of such wires, the Municipal employees including the departmental councilors and cable operator employees were present. The Darjeeling Municipality and the cable operators have been receiving a lot of applause and praise for such action from the townspeople.
