As per the report, the entire team was traveling to Murshidabad from Assam by hiding themselves inside a container of a lorry truck.

The laborers would have got away unnoticed if the police had not searched the vehicle in Cooch Behar District Jorai Naka Point. As per the reports, the laborers were found hiding themselves inside a locked cabin which had a secret door.

The Cooch Behar Police immediately rescued them and sent them to the Barobisha Police checkpost. They were then further taken to the Barobisha Navodaya Vidyalaya Quarantine center.
