Cooch Behar, 19th March: A customer was injured after a portion of the roof of a building in the Bhawani Ganj Bazar in Cooch Behar, collapsed on him, on Thursday. After the incident, the traders closed their shops and threatened to stage an agitation against the incident.
According to the information received, the building, located in the Bhawani Ganj Bazar, was very old. The traders alleged that such an incident had occurred earlier as well. Despite informing the matter to the Municipality, no heed was paid.
Meanwhile, Bhushan Singh, the Chairman of the Municipality, remained tight-lipped regarding the incident.
