Siliguri, 02nd April: With Chaiti Chhath Puja set to be observed tomorrow, preparations are in full swing across various locations in Siliguri.
Chhath Puja is celebrated twice a year, in the months of Kartik and Chaitra. On Thursday, members of the Bihari community will celebrate Chaiti Chhath, offering prayers to the setting sun, followed by rituals for the rising sun on April 04.

Similar to previous years, Chaiti Chhath is being observed in Ward No. 05, along with other areas in Siliguri. On Wednesday, Ward No. 05 Councillor Anita Mahato visited the Chhath Ghat, assuring that all necessary arrangements will be made. The cleaning of the ghat has already begun. She also extended her greetings to the Chhath devotees.
