Darjeeling, 15th May: Darjeeling MLA Neeraj Zimba has played a crucial role in securing financial assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for patients in his constituency. Sandhya Gurung, a resident of Harsing Hatta in Lebong Valley, reached out to the MLA seeking financial aid for her cancer treatment. Responding to her appeal, MLA Neeraj Zimba took prompt action and wrote to the Chief Minister, including all the necessary documents, to request assistance from the relief fund.
As a result of MLA Zimba’s efforts, Sandhya Gurung was granted financial support of 1 lakh. The Gurung family expressed deep gratitude towards MLA Zimba for his compassionate support during this challenging time. Currently, Sandhya Gurung is undergoing treatment at Sahyadri Super Specialty Hospital in Hadapsar, Pune.
