Cooch Behar, 08th September: In a tragic incident, a BSF jawan committed suicide by shooting himself with his service gun. The incident surfaced near the Indo-Bangladesh border in Gadopota village under the Sitalkuchi block of Cooch Behar District. The deceased jawan, named N.M. Swami was a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
According to BSF sources, the jawan shot himself in the chest with his service gun on Friday morning. Following this, his colleagues rushed to his rescue and took him to Sitalkuchi Block Primary Health Centre. However, the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
