Siliguri, 01st May: In a move aimed at preventing possible irregularities during vote counting, the Bharatiya Janata Party organised a special training workshop in Siliguri. The programme was held at a private hotel in the city in the presence of central leadership.
The workshop was attended by 28 BJP candidates, where detailed training was provided to counting agents regarding their roles and responsibilities during the counting process. Several senior leaders were present at the programme.
Among those present were Nisith Pramanik, Shankar Ghosh, Rathin Bose, Anandamay Barman, along with central observers Sunil Bansal, Bhupender Yadav, and Mangal Pandey.
BJP leaders stated that the training was conducted to ensure preparedness of counting agents and to make them aware of procedures to follow during vote counting.
During the event, concerns were also raised regarding possible irregularities in strong rooms. Leaders said the workshop focused on practical guidance to help prevent any malpractice during the counting process and ensure transparency.
