Siliguri, 18th April: Just days ahead of the first phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections, the political atmosphere in Ward No. 46 of Siliguri has intensified, with the BJP and Trinamool Congress confronting each other over the issue of Annapurna Bhandar scheme forms. The situation has led to increased tension in the area.
According to information, at Booth No. 14 under Ward No. 46 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, TMC alleged that BJP workers were distributing Annapurna Bhandar scheme forms to women to influence voters ahead of polling. TMC leaders claimed that such actions violate the Model Code of Conduct and are aimed at misleading voters.
