Rajganj, 12th August: Belakoba police conducted a raid against illegal country liquor (cholai) production in Murgivita village under Shikarpur Gram Panchayat. Led by OC Arijit Kundu, the team found nearly 400 liters of fermented wash hidden in plastic drums in a house washroom and destroyed it on the spot.
In addition, police recovered 25 liters of illegal country liquor, 5 kg of jaggery, 6 kg of tobacco stalks, two aluminum pots, one aluminum funnel, and other related items. No arrests were made so far, and the investigation is ongoing.
