Kharibari, 15th June: A Bangladeshi national was arrested by the SSB at the Indo-Nepal border in Kharibari while allegedly attempting to enter India illegally through the Panitanki border point.
The arrested individual has been identified as Nandan Das, a resident of Madaripur district in Bangladesh. According to reports, he was intercepted by SSB personnel on Sunday during a routine check at the border.
Officials became suspicious after examining the documents produced by the accused during the crossing attempt. A subsequent search of his belongings led to the recovery of a Bangladeshi passport, an expired visa, a Bangladeshi SIM card, and a mobile phone.
