Bangladeshi citizen arrested in Rajganj for illegal entry and fraudulently acquiring Aadhaar Card

Rajganj, 07th February: Police from Bhorer Alo police station arrested a Bangladeshi citizen who had illegally entered India several years ago and fraudulently acquired an Aadhaar card.

The arrested individual, identified as Manju Kumar Roy alias Manju Sinha, is a resident of Panchagarh district in Bangladesh. According to police sources, he entered India in 2016 through the Chaulhati area along the India-Bangladesh border in Rajganj. After wandering in various places, he found work at a restaurant in the Farabari area of Binnaguri Gram Panchayat, Rajganj.

During this time, he managed to create an Aadhaar card under the name of Manju Sinha through illegal means. Acting on information, the police apprehended him on Thursday evening from Farabari.

The accused was produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Friday. Meanwhile, Bhorer Alo police have launched an investigation to determine if others were involved in helping him or part of a larger network.
