Alipurduar, 21st March: The acting headmaster of Jitpur Mission Junior High School, Alipurduar No. 2 Block, has been arrested on charges of sexual exploitation of a school student.
It is alleged that Soumitra Mandal, the officiating headmaster of Jitpur Mission Junior High School, sexually assaulted a girl student by calling her to the computer room of the school on Monday. The student went home and narrated the whole ordeal to her family. After knowing the entire incident from the student, the family of the student lodged a written complaint against the alleged accused Soumitra Mandal at Shamuktala police station last night.
After this, the police arrested Soumitra Mandal from the Anandnagar area of Ward No. 20. The accused was produced in the Alipurduar court today.
