Alipurduar, 12th April: In a shocking incident, a minor girl in 8th grade was gang-raped in an area under Samuktala Police Station, Alipurduar. So far police have made three arrests in this case, while the other two are absconding.
According to reports, on Tuesday afternoon the minor girl had gone to fetch the cattle from the field. Noticing one of the cows missing, the girl went to the nearby Gadahar riverside in search of it. Seeing the minor girl wandering by herself, a group of miscreants jumped on her and forcibly took her to the nearby forest and committed the heinous crime. After the incident, the minor narrated the entire ordeal to her family, who then reported the matter at the Samuktala Police Station.
