Cooch Behar, 31st May: Cooch Behar District Magistrate Pawan Kadian informed that 37 positive cases have been reported in Cooch Behar in the past 24 hours.
As per the report, all the infected people recently returned from different states and are residents of Dinhata, Tufanganj, Mathabhanga, and Cooch Behar. Some were staying in quarantine centers so far and many of them were in home quarantine. They are currently being brought to the Siliguri COVID Hospital.

Meanwhile, the administration is constantly trying to trace the ones who had come in contact with the infected people and will be quarantined soon.
On Saturday morning, the Cooch Behar administration had informed that 32 people were infected with the virus in Cooch Behar. Following this, an atmosphere of tension engulfed the area after 37 fresh cases were reported today.
