Fulbari, 23rd May: 13-year-old Arjun Roy, a resident of Ambikanagar under Fulbari No. 1 Gram Panchayat, has been bedridden for four years due to a complex illness that has prompted his family to appeal to the public for assistance.
As per details gathered, Arjun Roy, the son of Bulon Roy and Lakshmi Roy, was once an active young body who went to school and played like every other child. However, at the age of 9, he contracted a sudden fever escalated into a neurological complication that confined him to his bed. Despite seeking medical treatment at the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), his condition did not show any improvement, leaving his impoverished family in despair.
