Alipurduar, 10th February: A total of 20 vultures have been released from the Rajabhat Khawa breeding centre today by the Buxa Forest Department. Reportedly, 13 White-backed species and 7 Himalayan Griffon species are included.
In order to maintain the balance of the environment, the Bombay Natural History Society took the initiative of breeding vultures that have been extinct from the environment. After this, the vulture breeding project was started in the Rajabhat Khawa forest of the Buxa Forest Department.
